Has anyone else done this mod yet? I'd like to see some of your results. Please post your dancing LED projects here.

I've got 700 watts of power to spare right now. So that's about 2000 LEDs i have to install wink1.gif

First off Alex, I am offended by your statement. it takes alot of time and techincal skill to do this. Not to mention it won my car 3rd place at the Fort Jackson army car show, with moisture in my driver's corner lamp, and a crappy 4AM vacuuming of my vehical where dirt was still all in the cracks.
Besides, noone is doing this with LEDs. This is not the lame screwed in neons from Autozone. The civics are using the $20 neon tubes with a Microphone on them. This is different. People said multiple times "i've never seen anything like that" and "you must have spent alot of money on your sterio". I've now spent $1200 on my sterio. Alot of people competing for best of show had custom trunks made with xboxs installed and 5 LCD screens which had to cost about $5000. Mine was taking more attention then theirs.
Also, it cannot be seen when you close the trunk, so it does not flash the entire car. It's only for shows. and it's pretty effective. It stops everyone to look at it for at least 15 secconds. People stare at it including judges.
Can we now hear from someone who has actually installed a DLED setup? I know a few people here have made these since I made the Dancing LED DIY.
click here to see the dirt under my drivers seat, the fingerprints all over my trunk lip and I still placed in the show.

I'm just wondering why we have 2 threads on the subject.
DTN, don't take offense mang, if you are posting pics and asking for comments, you WILL get negatives if it has nothing to do with performance. You should know that on this site. I think it's pretty cool, and wouldn't mind doing something like it, but I wouldn't place the LED's where you did.
Also, I'd recommend you get some small wire loom, and cover the wires in the back, exposed wiring like that looks bad.

^^ The other thread was a DIY. I started this thread so that others who had done this mod, or similar, could post pix. I heard a couple of other people talking about how they did this and wanted to see.
I installed this mod the night before the show, i didn't have time to cover the wires.
Why wouldn't you put the LEDs there? Where would you put them? I've had some in my rear speakers for months but you can't see them durring the daytime. This is the best place I could find for them to stand out durring the daytime, and i made sure they wouldn't flash in the car before i installed them?

i like the mod. i will probably do soemhting like that at one time if i can figure it out. not sure where i would put them. i can see why the judges like them and i can tell it takes a lot of work. id like to see what others have done.
