If they got struts of different strenght Ill try em on my F.G hood. Im a little hesistant that these might over power and pull the rivets out of the mounting spot.

Is there a site or way I can contact them?

when you pop it though you should still have the "safety" latch. So it shouldnt fly up right away. I need this for my cf

i got my rivet gun for 5 bucks lol..

anyway, i know theres the safety latch, but if would be nicer to not have to hold the hood on its way up so it doesn't shoot up fast..

im sure they make ones that will work better for the CF hood...

kit looks pretty universal though..

there definately should be a slower, less powerful strut. it only needs to lift a couple pounds.

Hmm... I'd like them if the weren't riveted. Only reason is if I ever needed to take the hood off it'd be more trouble IMO.

Thats true. Im going to keep looking into doing this myself, maybe avoiding rivets if at all possible.

guys, just rivet the hood ones (it would be easier that way, and use screws to mount the bracket to the engine bay... THAT easy... fing02.gif

actually if you need the hood off to say remove an engine.. these have a quick snap release. so you can leave the mounts on an take the hood off.
