Default New Camera and Ark Performance CF Side Skirts = WIN!!!

Finally upgraded from a Nikon D90 to a Nikon D600 and wow what a huge difference! Can't believe how much more crisp my pictures are coming out. I love everything about this camera except the price tag ($2000 on sale with a 24-85mm lens..Thank you Sam's Club!!) which put a huge dent in my bank account but at least now i can take pictures and video of my broke butt in HD. LOL

I've got a few more pics but uploading 19mb pictures each on really slow internet connection is killing me!!!

That camera is badass! Our crime scene tech's at work used the same camera but now they upgraded to D900! The CF skirts look really nice and the overall pic's look clean!

Guessing he meant the D800 . . . if the devil (and/or the culprit) is in the details, you want as high a resolution as you can reasonably get. The D800 has it, next step is medium-format but that's a bit much, both on the wallet and on the file size!

I work for the Oakland Police Department! Our Crime Scene tech's deal with all homicides and crime scene's within the city of oakland. So, I'm assuming they need the best quality pic's they can take. If ur interested they are highering but u need to have the stomach for it. To much blood for my taste.

Stocker- It's a D900. On a side note it's not like the tech's are paying for the camera! Plus, I was surprised by the camera's they use as well.

I would be very surprised indeed to see that camera in the wild. I know now why the crime scene people have it: they got it from a ghost, because (like ghosts) the d900 doesn't exist! That's crazy. It's been rumored to be coming out just any old day now since 2008, and there was speculation from 18 to 24 megapixels, and that it would be named the d700x or d800

. . . in short, that is one very odd duck!

As far as working in Oakland . . . it's a bit of a commute for me. The squeamishness isn't so bad - as they say, if you've seen one brain blown all over the street, you've seen 'em all

Yeah Oakland is too far from me as well and I've never seen the d900 myself since I've been looking around for camera specs on Nikon's website but i thought i might have missed it. Geez seen a blown brain on the street? I can't even look at those gory youtube videos of animals getting hacked up, how much more a person lol
