The tib will finally become my second car this summer, and I'm planning on doing a lot to it. here's a list, feel free to add or critique

1. pulling the engine, painting the bay, installing lighting in the bay.
2. painting the udnerbody with rubberized spray
3.sandblasting the car down completely, repainting
4.shaving the emblems, and the antenna.
5. possibly new pistons/cams/pulleys/head gaskets on engine?
6. tearing out the interior (pretty much completely, most of the dash will stay) and putting in diamond plate flooring
7. custom LED interior
8. fiberglass sub enclosure in the trunk
9. strut bars, sway bars, other such stiffening items
10. possibly some sort of turbo if finances allow? very small, only looking for like 5 lbs boost.

what else? im looking to take her from daily driver to garage queen, what am i missing that i should plan for?

if your gonna go insane on the body, i would do some type of kit, even custom, would look TONS better.

could do a 5psi small turbo kit for 2000$ shipped from me.

instead of replacing those engine parts, i would get a low mileage beta II and swap it in.

x2 on his turbo kit

If you're opening the engine, install Singh grooves! If you're doing something under the body, make it rhino-liner or similar. I put rubberized undercoating on my car and I recently noticed (after like 8 years) it's gone now.

Seriously, if you are going to pull the engine and do a bunch of chassis and engine work go ahead and do the turbo now. It just makes more sense. Some of that aesthetic stuff can wait.

i would do socks 5psi turbo kit and supension work

How much longer does rhino liner last than a rubberized spray? Is it way more expensive?

I'm down for a bodykit as well, but I really like the korean oem skirts and I'd like to incorporate those. Has anyone done this on the site? Any pics?

Rubberized stuff will flake/chip off with road debris, and properly applied truck bed liner stuff should just shrug it all off. Cost depends greatly on brand and who applies it.

ZKend 02-28-2009 02:36 PM
