Default My Lady's 2002 Hyundai Accent 1.5

So I am new to this forum and wanted to post my build thread. I currently am working on a 2002 Hyundai Accent that my lady owns as well as my 2007 Kia spectra. Love Korean cars

I will start with some older pics and we'll move right into the newest pictures towards the end

Road trip to Ohio

Road trip to Washington

The Beginning of more serious modifications

Filthy

[imghttp://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/maxpow99/IMG_1835.jpg][/img]

Painted headers blue, they chipped in less than a day

Installed Dual Remote Oil filter kit (uses 2 1 quart sized oil filters) and an Oil cooler

Also got an Ultra Gauge

Currently I have a set of EDC brake rotors

Waiting in the garage for install, some new door panels as well, and an Oil Catch can I need to install as well.

Future modifications I have planned so far include:

-Getting new O2 sensor bung for wideband a/f gauge

-Stage 1 N/a cam from RPW

-Replacing stock seats with low weight aftermarket ones

-Coilovers

-Urethane bushings

But first I need to get the wheel bearings replaced, as well as the drum brakes and install the new front brakes. The car is starting to wobble from side to side during turns and after 166 thousand miles its still got the original bushings and bearings.

Thanks for looking, feedback is wanted and appreciated whether positive or negative

Looks good but will look great when you drop it. Also, the best mod you can do to an Accent is a beta swap. Its a very simple think to do and many many accent owners have done it in a weekend.

Not bad, but the silencer looks like a blue butthole.

The silencer is so gay. I hate it. But she thinks the car is "too loud" with no silencer.

I should have coilovers in the next 3-4 months so it shall be lowered.

Beta swap would be chill but I plan to run the g4ek until it can run no more. I like the super weakness of the 1.5.

Go the car weighed on a truck scale today. 2330 With a quarter tank. Not too bad.

This car has potential to look good, just lay off the blue paint. If I may, I've got a few suggestions:

remove the paint on the exhaust silencer

remove the paint on the header

heat wrap the header

remove the paint on the master cylidner

secure the pod filter properly

make an airbox for the pod filter

get a timing belt cover

fix the overspray on your throttle cable/pcv hoses

find some proper high tension lead clips instead of zip ties

degrease the engine bay

polish the headlights

straighten the numberplate

adjust the panel gap around your hood so it fits properly

Should be able to take care of most of those in a solid weekend's work. Glad to have you on the forums man!

This plus a solid buffing to bring whats left of the paint back to life.

Doesn't look like that anymore, that is from previous owner. Purchased the car for 4500 with 45k miles and clean title. Its a great car. Love the beta 2.
