After seeing how nice some of the cars looked at Hyundai Sunday 2006 I decided to try my hand at some custom paint work on my own valve cover.

Here is sample pic

I had a vinyl from when I bought my Magnaflow muffler. I just trimmed the "Magnaflow" and "Mufflers" from the dcal and applied it to the valve cover before painting the grey.

Very nice job mate, looks great.
Will the decal start to peel or melt though? Did you use high temp paint cause it looks a bit metalic( which is nice).
I'd like to have used a metalic paint but could'nt find any that was high temp.

I only used the vinyl as a stencil. I painted red on the valve cover first and then applied the vinyl. Then I painted over it grey. Once dry I peeled the vinyl off and clear coated. So what you see is just paint.

Also about the paint. I did use a metallic paint. It is just an exterior paint for cars. I thought I needed to have a high temp paint too until I saw 2UNIQ's car. He used the same and told me that it has been like that for over a year now with no problems.

Excellent job m8. Me got some urges to do the same now, ugh lmao.gif

HAve another question. I saw that you have swaped your pedals for 2003 Tib's pedals. My question would be: Did you changed whole pedals (including "arm") or you have just changed the rubber pedal "head"? Not sure if you would understand but I couldn't phrase it otherwise.

Click the cardomain link on my first post. I did a little write-up on how I did it and the paint I used... cool.gif

To answer Hive's question about the peddals. I swapped the entire "arm" or the peddal. It is a direct swap betwen the GK Tibs and the RD's
