about a month ago i saw an ad in craigslist for this car they wanted 1300 for it.
its a 97 eclipse gs-t with the 4g63 6-bolt engine

it had all kinds of shit wrong with it(ripped up convertible topand back window fell out, all the brakes shot to shit, an o2 sensor code, and a nasty interior) so i talked them down to a grand and took it home.

heres some pics of the car when i got it

what it looks like after a month and some elbow grease

so far mods are

bodykit
z3 fenders
tyc carbon tails
cross drilled slotted rotors
ss brake lines
sppedfactor turbo manifold and 02 sensor housing
full mandrel bent exhaust
intake
iridium spark plugs............ and more on the way

let me know what you think

lol the cheatah print is a towel that i was using as a window shade.

i got the bodykit from a guy on ocala4sale.com for 100 bucks front bumper needs a lil fiberglass work
and i also traded him the stock fenders for the z3's even trade(he wanted to go back to stock) i thought it was a great deal!

very nice turn around...

did you check the shaft play of the turbo or did you have it rebuild?

the turbo boost fine havent actually pulled it out to check with my dial caliper.
i tried to wiggle the shaft around by hand while the turbo was still on the car and if it does have endplay its not enough to feel.
i plan on upgrading the turbo eventually with a slightly larger turbo that is oil and water cooled.

im gonna try to make the brackets for my FMIC tommorrow hopefully.(since i cant do shit with my rd2 until insurance cuts me a check)

I might just make my way up to Ocala whenever you finish the tib and this car. Definitely been wanting to check out the tib for a while but now this one seems to be on a good track as well lol.

What's the tally on how much you've spent so far and total project projections?
