Just finished up doing my cover and it's looking kind of nice. My thing is I'm planning on painting the valve cover a silver color.

i like the way it is now.

i painted my spark plug cover blue and left the valve cover the way it was.... mainly cuz i know how many screws it is to take the valve cover off...and i'm lazy. D'OH

how bout paint it black... you know, darker than what it is now

I think that it would look sweet if you painted it silver. But then again, that is the exact color scheme that I am going to use! smile.gif

I agree with Sparticus, I would paint it black. That way it would shine the same or close to the same as the spark plug cover.

one thing... off topic... get some armor all (like the stuff u use on your dash) and spray some on the radiator hose... then wipe it down with a towel or cloth or somethin... will make it shine like none other... very nice....

on topic.... dood..... i dunno. silver and red dont go together all that well really IMO.... do it a nice glossy black or something.. that would grab attention too!

I'm going to put some steel braid over the lines. So it will look nice and clean. Thanks to alpha male hooking me up.

If you are going to take the time to take off the valve cover and paint it I would also paint the vacume hose holder that connects to it. Since your hoses have the red tubing over them I would probably paint that the same red color.

Oh and by the way why hasn't anyone moved this to Exterior instead of in Showroom?

It'll go together fine, everyone's forgetting this is the Metalcast Silver. When it's done, it looks EXACTLY like the block. Really nice.

See?

BTW, don't use those braided hose cover kits man, they keep alot of heat in and look horrible. Everyone I know with them has ripped them out.
