how did u clean the engine bay?

tibbymat 08-22-2008 10:41 AM

i went to the car wash and sprayed the pre soak in it then washed the car and then lightly sprayed the engine bay down after. avoiding the top of the motor. then drove it on the highway for 10 mins to dry it off. then when i got home i wiped it down with a rag and then sprayed armorall ultra shine on EVERYTHING and wiped that down adn it left it lookin brand shiny new!! tongue.gif

you dont have to worry about getting water on the alternator?

tibbymat 08-22-2008 10:50 AM

nope.... never had a problem with that. i dont soak it n e ways... just a light spray to get everything off

Hyunshark21 08-22-2008 10:52 AM

alright, well at our car wash we have a engine cleaner setting and i was never brave enough to try it, but i might have to try you method, i just hope i dont ruin anything

loookin pretty good.

tint those tails and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST

and do something with the interior to make it work with exterior..

something that would look nice IMO would be a black dash, with orange pearl.
and then some nice black 'racing' seats with orange inserts... will give it a very nice look, but still remain clean at the same time.

Anything you're afraid to get wet, just wrap it with a plastic bag....I'm always worried about the battery and the wires coming off the terminals, so I just wrap it up, rinse it, spray some Simple Green on everything...let it sit for a minute, if you're as picky as I can be sometimes, you get out a toothbrush (Engine bay of my Charger is immaculate), then rinse everything down, dry it off as best as possible, then just let the engine heat from either driving or idling dry out the rest.
