Well, the car is officially mine. lol

I think I forgot to mention the other reason why the price was so low. The original title was lost and on bond. So, I had to do some extra paperwork. I was a little worried at first, but the paperwork wasn't all that much and only cost me $100 for the bond. Everything else was your typical small title transfer fee and tax on a $300 vehicle.

FYI!!!! Mishimoto called me and they do have all 3 colors available and their website is wrong. They have black and blue in stock, but red is on backorder if you want it. She says she'll let the site people know the problem.

If you want them, then give them a call to get the color you want.

Maintenance is all done. The car sounded like a tractor after I got her running. It was apparent the oil was rarely changed and the valve cover had sludge built up on top. But, after changing the oil and cleaning the injectors, she purrs like a kitten. I'm running a can of seafoam split through the oil and gas for a final cleaning.

After a lifetime of neglect, I just think it's amazing that these cars can still look and sound great if you give them a little TLC.

Lately, this project has really taken off. I've been accumulating factory parts to replace the ones that were damaged or lost. For this side of things, all I have left is to replace the front crashbar, and decide whether I want to invest in a respray. I'd love to respray it either in white, or go with silver to match the Evo conversion I'm doing. That would be last on the list of items though.

The Evo conversion is going well. I just finalized a deal to get a ton of small "F2E special items" only found on that model.

- Chrome Gear shift surround

- Leather Shift Boot

- Leather E-brake Boot

- 3 Complete F2E emblems off the fenders and bumper

- F2E Doorsill Trims

- F2E Gauge Cluster

- MSD #0287 of 1500 Firewall Badge

Also in the works, I'm about to finalize shipment on the 16x7 Evo wheels. This is costing me a ton. Probably more than a bumper would. I need new wheels and tires for this car anyways, so might as well do it right! I think the factory F2E wheels will look great, with spacers of course. And, as far as I know, I'd be the first to own them in the US.

I'm choosing NOT to replace the spoiler. They are both nice, but the shark spoiler is a more rare item these days.

The only items I'll be missing are:

- Plush Floormats with F2E emblems

- Chrome Shift Knob

- Leather Console Cover

- Front bumper

looks like you've got most of the important stuff, you might struggle with the floor mats though. Both evo's i've had had the badges in the mats missing, they were only stuck in and right in the area where people can drag their feet.

I might have a gear knob and was it the gear gaitor you're still after?

I believe he is sending me both the gear and e-brake gaitors. But, I could really use that shift knob!

I'm also looking for the center console (cubby) cover, which should be lined with leather.

Yup, you're right. I didn't even think it would apply to the center console. Guess I'll have to make one of those.

Here's a shot of an EVO interior.
