This is my 2000 Elantra GLS 5-speed. 167k miles.

Mods:

1.8 Intake cam

17mm Tiburon RD rear sway bar

Energy suspension polyurethane rear sway bar bushings

Cut 1 coil from front springs

XD Elantra rear struts

Power steering delete

Air conditioning delete

Polyurethane motor mounts

Short shifter

Clear corner lights

Debadged

Tiburon aluminum pedal covers

J1 Shift Knob (93 Elantra)

4TH Gen Camaro Shifter Boot

Shorty Antenna

Black Painted Side Mirrors

I bought some brand new Tibby pedal covers on Ebay for $13.15 with free shipping.

They don't look as good in a beige interior... Oh well.

Really clean. You definitely need a proper cold air intake and exhaust. Lowering it will also make it look great.

I agree, install a cold air intake & exhaust. After that have fun. Overall car looks real straight.

i'm quite envious, you got the 2.0L beta on the 99-2000 j2's..

my 97 j2's a bit banged up here and there but it's mechanically sound,

the 99-2000 manual j2's came with a fatter heavier shift knob, the original j2 "96-98" had a slimmer lighter shift knob, which is still faster for shifts,
