The gopro is all charged up, and have my odb-ii / gps track timer ready to go.

Gonna be a blast.

I was at Thunderhill back about 5-6 years ago. In the middle of summer and it was 110F with hardly any humidity. Went there with a bunch of Taurus SHOs.

Have you tried the Harry's Lap Timer App? Couple of my friends have it. I plan on getting it, but my season doesn't start back up until March. I've got a few videos of my last track day in my Civic on Youtube. Let us know if you post vids.

Haven't tried that one yet. Doesnt llok like they have the full version for android yet.

I have torque and race chrono. Trying to find something that works with the gopro... harrys would be great when they finally finish it for android.

Great day at the track. Surprised a lot of people in the equus... including the 911 that couldn't keep up, and the bmws I kept passing.

I did, however, have to quit early when the tranny started smoking. Ran perfect again after cooling down, but that shouldn't have happened.

Any have similar experiences with the transmission?

How did you like the hill? The off camber downhill was pretty hairy for me in the past. Was it hot that day?

spinningbull 01-19-2014 09:23 AM

The off camber turn 3-4 was pretty hairy, never quite got a good line. The hills were fun, once I figured out how to straighten them out. The equus is so heavy, I never felt like I was losing traction.

It was a beautiful day, low 70s - engine temp never went above mid-point. Dont know what happened to the tranny.

Red Raspberry 01-19-2014 12:04 PM

I don't think anyone gets a good handle on the off camber turns. I had a FWD car when I was there and at the top of the hill jab the breaks and the rear would swing ring around pointing straight out and then down hill.. It was blast.

You vid brought back some good memories.
