Apparently? At least according to the two top Google search results for US Regions.

if it was up to me i'd put it in the middle of the ocean but looks like it's in the middle of the country to me. I'd honestly say that texas and oklahoma are the south. MY southwest is AZ, NM, CO, and UT. 4 corners. I'm just saying I wouldn't take notice if there was a huge meet in TX or OK, too far away. The 4 states I mentioned are all within reasonable driving distance from each other.

I guess i'm looking at this thread as a "chill with people who live by you" thread, and I don't feel like the states mentioned are categorized correctly. Just my opinion. let some more people from the SW pipe up.

I would say that it's reasonable to drive through that region, even if you normally wouldn't.

Bottom line is that the regional divisions had to be made somewhere and I made a judgment call to go with what I found were recognized regions. If divisions were too small, you would have to look at several regions to see nearby meets, etc. If nothing else, you can meet people within a few states of yourself and if desired make more specific threads. I don't care if it's a single city or state thread. Make all that you want. smile.gif

I took a Geography of the Southwest class while getting my Bachelors of Science in Geography...

...

LOL

Anyways, we actually had a week about the definition of the Southwest, and it contains the 4 corners states, some of far west Texas, and to Las Vegas NV.

Others describe it as areas where you can get Green Chile.

Anyways, anyone here interested in making it to the meet in late October?
