Will one fan be enough to cool a FI engine?

Im working with a speed shop near my house to design a good quality turbo kit thats pieced together with name brand parts and we think with the turbo and manifold I might go with (custom manifold), the heat from the turbo will melt the shroud and plastic on the fan nearest the drivers side. So if I were to use a single flex a lite fan, would that be enough to cool things when Im finally turbo'd or is it better to have the 2 fans?

need two fans or one gigantic one if your going to run a/c. I have two pushers on the front of the a/c condenser.

hmmm.. so many responses to one question...

first of all, are you talking about using the stock fans? if so, you probably have no room for almost any type of manifold that would fit.

secondly, depends on the fan and if you use/make a shroud so the fan isnt pulling air from only one location on the radiator.

why not just go with two pushers on the other side of the AC condensor?

I would personally get the twin FAL kit that has the shroud and build the manifold around it so it will fit.

Why build a custom manifold anyway? bling factor?

Just to anser you question, I am running a stock Radiator, with ZERO issues, never over heats, never gets hotter than when it was N/A, I am only running a Summit Racing 12 Slim Fan, same place as stock, also got my custom manifold to...

Exactly what I was gonna post . I have the factory AC fan where the Rad fan was and only the one and no issues.

I have a dual slim flex-a-lite that everyone runs on the stock radiator for sale. Costs about $220+ new, but I'm selling it for only $150 cause its dirty as hell. Lol. Still flows 2400cfm and gives u a ton of room for a good size turbo. I had my 60-1 behind it.
