I always ask myself what is a must to do after you install a turbo??....

after ther install and set 5 psi you will feel the difference or you have to do anything to the engine run like it should??....

i´m trying to guess that after a install like turbo you have to reset the ECU.... and maybe advance the timing, right??... or it has to be retarded???..

And also i heard a lot of people that says that you cant run with a stock exhaust system.... i dont know why is that... can anyone tell me please...

well i guess these all my questions....

thanks

In order to make it run like it should, your going to have to get your air/fuel ratio tuned so your engine doesn't go kaboom. That means getting some sort of Air-Fuel controller like the SAFC and having the dyno shop tune it for you.

On a turbo, you would retard the timing a touch, you advance timing on N/A applications.

You can run stock exhaust, but on really low PSI and not for very long. The backpressure and such is bad for your engine and for your turbo. 2.5in exhaust for light-mid PSI and 3in for heavy PSI is recommended.

Default Is there a larger MAS?

ALso, depending on the boost you'd like to run, I'd definately suggest higher CC fuel injectors (some kits come with them) Other than that, ^hamhead^ pretty much summed it up.

so. what you are saying is that after the turbo, change the stock exhaust to a 2.5 in..... and remove the conveter and maybe leave the other thing...

and tuned the AFR with SAFC.... and the down pipe?? 2 in would be ok for 5 psi?? or it has to be 2.5 in too.....??

thanks

I would go 2.5in on the downpipe just in case. You may think you want to run 5psi, but trust me you'll be wanting to pump it up in no time. lol.gif I've done it so many times on my GSX.

Yeah plus that will help with lowering turbo lag. A better flow in the exhaust = a faster spooling turbine.

ok... so better flow in the exhaust better and sooner is the spooling!... that sound about right...!!....

and about the adivice of tune it in the dyno, i cant.... i live out of USA and here where I live, dont have Dynos..... so I trying to get a wideband but it going to take a few month to get the money for it.... so meanwhile wha can I do??

I will install a 2 in downpipe....
