I was thinking like putting cam gears and maybe higher performance piston rings...but i dont wanna spend more money then i have to smile.gif

well my friend.. with a turbo with a turbo things can and usually do get pricey, i first suggest reading a book called maximum boost by corky bell. then call up tim at speed-factor.com and get your self hooked up. he offers 2 kits for the tib. and he has a great customer service and will answer all your questions. pm me if you need any more help.. the questions has been asked many times before, i also ask that you search first too...welcome to the site ..

This may seem like a simple question, and i may seem stupid for asking this...but how do you adjust the boost pressure coming from the turbo?

actually unless you have an external gate that will not work... a boost controller is a better option to go with

it's funny, i remember when i first wanted boost, i said the same exact thing... "i will just boost it to 7psi" boost is like crack, once you do it, you just want more and more and more then the next thing you know your pimpin your girl on the street for extra money to add more boost....

dont tell her i said that.

for 7psi, stock is cool. i also suggest reading the book and doing a little more research rather than just throwing a turbo on and letting it rip.

you say you want to do a custom job, but why? what are the benefits? with a question like "how do i adjust boost?," you're better off buying a kit. besides, the speedfactor kits are great. there's really no reason to go custom unless you're building the motor as a project and plan on pushing 400whp (a la red). but at that stage, you're looking at $8,000 and a stand alone ecu. you should read maximum boost. but i would also suggest going with a kit, rather than trying to desing your own.
