Default turbo shaft play

I have an old used gt2871r ive had for a long time. its just been sitting around and at one point i was gonna use it as my turbo but decided to go a different route. i picked it up last night out of a box it was stored in and noticed theres some shaft play. ive heard ball bearing turbos are supposed to have almost zero shaft play. mine has play both back and forth and up and down. i even put some oil in it to see if it would eliminate the play, but it still was about the same. it doesn't hit the housings or anything, but I'm kind of worried about how long its gonna last. should i take chances with it or should i just sell it cheap?

how much play are you talking? if it moves any more than like half your pinky fingernail then it's pretty much done.

best bet would either be to sell it for real cheap or rebuild it yourself and try and sell it.
