Default turbo and nitrous at same time

ok, i've read everywhere that using a turbo and nitrous is bad idea. why would it be if i keep the nitrous to lower levels? and wat would happen with higher levels (i plan on using zex)

The Fast & Furious Effect happens. You yell at your lap top, tell it to shut up, then your floor boards pop open, start scraping on the ground, and then fly out from the rear of your car!

ask red and onpol they're crazy like that wink hehehe j/k

no nos and turbo is a good setup if you tune it right. the nos actually helps alot with cooling the hot-turbo air. but your going to have to upgrade alot of internals.

fuel pump, pistons, rods, injectors, rings etc etc.

NOS and turbo are a bad idea only if you don't know what you're doing and haven't spent the money to build it correctly smile.gif

The amount of money needed is is an exponential equation based on your intended horsepower output

Lots and lots of money and lots and lots of down time to get it right.

KIKASSBOY... I can tell you that with my turbo set up, going with all the electronics I can without going motec or haltech, the only internal I'm upgrading is my pistons, also injectors and fuel pump I'm at $3,500.00 and that's with some major sponsorship discounts or free stuff...

with what you're planning NOS and TURBO, you will need like all those have said, major internals, to go with forged pistons and rods, you will for sure need a HALTECH UNIT or MOTEC whichever, those alone will run you $1k or more... Stage 4 Clutch at least, a stronger flywheel and prolly even newer stronger axles, since I'm guessing you want to be in the 300+ rangeso you're looking at close to $10k or there abouts, considering the install money, unless you do most of the work, but I wouldn't suggest it unless you're as knowledgable as RED or CHEUK...

have fun and good luck

Well, actually you could just do a itty bitty turbo and boost about 4psi PLUS spray in a 25 shot of nitrous and you'd be fine on the stock internals

Um, but I doubt that's what you want to do.

450HP on-boost, and another 150HP sprayed in = 600WHP. That's approximately $3000 in engine parts, $1500 in supplementary electronics, $2000 in turbo parts, $1000 in nitrous parts, $2000 in driveline parts and at least $1000 in suspension work to keep it on the ground.

Then you gotta figure labor if you cannot build your own motor, install/wire your own Haltech unit, construct your own turbo setup, tap your own nitrous system and disassemble/reassemble your own transmission and suspension underpinnings. Labor would probably be another $5000 give or take.

Hope you brought your American Express, becauase you probably don't have a VISA card with a $15,000 credit limit.

hehehe I was close, but since I was thinking he wanted a 300 whp daily driver, and not a 600 whp daily driver... hehehehe I was about right

or you can run about 200whp on boost and 100whp via nitrous

about 2500 on turbo parts, 1500 on extra engine building stuff, 700 for nitrous, 1000 clutch+ light flywheel (might as well get it), 500 spare engine, 400 on gauges (you need to monitor the exact point when you might light up the sky), 2000 engine, turbo, clutch install, 600 for tuning

This ghetto kit will get you a safe 200-220whp and a risky 300whp under nitrous

keep the credit cards free... cause something always goes wrong frown
