This is easily answerable by yourself.

How much power do you want, how much do you want to spend?

HEY guys i am only interested in illegal street racing...
So do you think i could get around 180ponies NA and after combine it with NOS?????Would this setup be cheaper than going turbo???
I am afraid of turbo because many guys from team sr had really problems from alpine etc etc..

I am more declining to na mods...

Once CHEUK from seoul said that some tibs that raca in korea na they just do BBTB,BIM,CAI,and wild cams..
I am looking for some medium cams that will give me lets say 15/30 ponies???

What do you think????

Illegal street racing, eh? Keep your car stock looking and mod the heck outta your engine!

If you know what you're doing, a turbo setup is kewl. NA on our cars is a PITA.

BTW what's the meaning of PITA? smile.gif

If you want serious power then go turbo as for thier being problems with the setup its only the programming in the chip for the most part. There are also plenty of stories out there of disasters with N2O. I personnaly would never touch iteven the people who go on about it seem to end up posting about how great it is seem to end up with engine probs in the end. Plus once youve added together the cost of manifold,BBTB,CAI etc for NA youve nearly payed the price of a turbo anyway.

Like Red say how much money and whats your budget basically. NOS is by far the cheapest way to gain HP and its on tap when you need it. N/A is the second cheapest in the fact that your not worring about S/C and Turbo products. Myself I am going to be running a S/C then a bunch of other engine mods. Basically a sleeper unless you look under the hood. But later on I am replacing the piston and rods to be able to handle NOS with the S/C.
What you can do is buy a junk yard motor and just build it from scratch. That way you still have your car for daily driving until the time for transplant.
I will know in about a month from know how much HP my car is putting out. Can you beleive my wife is doing all of this for me? What a woman.

You are right,i am interested in 230 to 250hp at the flywheel...eg anything over 200hp but i ll try to do it as reliable as i can..Some mechanic shops here in my country promise to make my tib around that hp for 6000Euros eg.6000USD approx. They put garett turbo i think t28 plus all the extra gadgets..
My opinion is to take a motor from the junk yard and start to rebuild it.I ll take it to someone who knows..Ok all these i decided to go turbo do you think 230 to 250 hp will be reliable for a daily driven tib???

BTW Jon how many ponies do you get from your setup???

PITA=Pain in the A$$

I don't think a turbo would cost the same as a bunch of n/a parts would. A lot of those parts can be used with the turbo setep as well. You can get a turbo kit for around $2000-4000 depending if you put it together yourself or buy a preconfigured kit. There a re tons of things to install and retune. Installation is also, from what I have heard, about a couple thousand. That is the only reason I amstaying away from turbos. If you want to street race go n/a with some NOS. You'll get more out of it. I know turbos are commonly looked at as cheating over here when in a street race not on a track.
