I was wondering about a good way to run an oil line to the turbo? Any ideas? And what electronics would I need to change? Another question...how much HP can the manual tranny support? I had to change out my slave cylinder today because it was leaking. Is this a common problem?

best way to run oil line is from the lil allen head 1/8npt cap on the drivers side of the head.
electronics would depend on your setup.. you would need next to none on a 5psi setup, and on a 18-20psi setup with 500whp you would need the whole deal for it to work. either way youll want a new clutch if you boost.. i dont know exactly how much hp the tranny will support, but for high hp applications id get a LSD, and then in high hp ranges driveshafts are known to snap. no idea on slave cylinder.. do you need any more info on the turbo setup itself? what are you trying to achieve? etc? |
10 PSI at most. Can I get an idea on what electronics I would need to change? Im not lookin to destroy everything on the road. Just need a little more speed. I have my toy for the weekends. Would the tranny be able to hold ~200Hp? Thanks.

do you have an auto or man. trans. if it is man. then it should be able to hold up to 200 a few people on here have stock trans and over 200 horses i believe. electronics you could go as simple as a safc
use the search button and you will get loads of info smile.gif |
NO TO SAFC
it will cause damage to your car as it only compensates for WOT and nothin in between NO TO SAFC |
I have a manual tranny. I didnt plan on goin over 200 so I guess Im safe. Anything else I need to upgrade to hold up to 200HP?
|
you should look into a decomp. plate. it will be cheaper than putting in new pistons. smt-6 is another electronic you could use for fuel. or the ecu reflash being done by airborne on this site.
check into getting a better clutch as well. no good haveing the power if your clutch cant hold it |
What is the compression of the pistons?
|
im not sure i think stock 10:1?? someone correct me if im wrong
|
I kno 15 PSI is tops for the pistons. I'm guessing I'd need a fuel pressure regulator along with a bigger TB. On a quick search I found that the compression is 10.3:1
