Thinking about switching my BOVs

from an atmospheric to a recirculating. The only disadvantage I can see from going with a recirculating is that it can cause your engine to run rich between shifts. Do most of you all have BOV's that vent or is anyone using a recirculating? How did you get past the running rich issue?

you get the running rich between shifts issue when you vent to atmosphere, not vice versa.. If you are going to recirculate it, you will get rid of that issue.

Going to atmospheric for some cars is what causes the rich issue and/or air metering problems.

I think you might have that backwards.... My Ms3 has a BPV(recirc) stock on our car and if we throw a BOV on it it'll make the car run rich due to throwing off the AFRs with the lack of air recicing.... I'm not to sure about going BOV to BPv or 50/50... usually it's the other way around...

wouldn't the butterfly closing on the TB between shifts restrict the air already? The Genesis BPV also partially vents, perhaps the VT does as well.

Doing the recirc would just help to keep pressure in the pipes, wouldn't it?
