thermostat question

hey not sure if its been asked before, but when it comes to the thermostat while being boost’d, is there a reason to get a lower temp thermostat to keep the engine cooler or is it not really beneficial with our motors?

With modern fuel injected engines, cooler thermostats are a band-aid. If you have cooling problems, get a better radiator.

No, it's a bad idea. A beta runs best when the water is just over boiling point. If it's cooler than that, you waste fuel because it tends to condensate on things like valves and cylinder walls. That's why you wear your engine out and use lots of fuel when it's cold.

Make sure that there's a pressure difference between the front and rear of your radiator, and that nothing in the system is blocked up.
