ok, today i decided to stop being lazy and hook up more than just my boost gauge... so i was gonna do the easiest one and hook up the oil pressure sender... well the oil pressure sender is quite bigger than the stock sending unit.. and that sensor next to the oil pressure sender, makes it so i cant screw it strait into the block.. if only if it was offset 1/16" .... fock...

so i try using my 'T' fitting so i can have both the stock sending unit and the aftermarket hooked up... well no go either.. the aftermarket one cant come in from the side ( too close to the block) and cant come in from other side of 'T' cuz it hits compressor housing.. then i try an extension, to clear the other sensor?? bah...

so basically im not hooking this thing up to the block...

what would be the cons to hooking it up to the head, where im getting my oil feed from.. the pressure would obviously be less, but still constant right? and id have a better idea of the pressure of the oil going into the turbo, which is basically the point of the new pressure gauge...

and the oil temp. is being hooked up to a oil filter sandwich plate...

careful of the t if its brass, people have had problems with them breaking.

search madjohn for fitting or something, you will see what he did.

basically, instead of t'eeing it from the block... run an oil line someplace convenient and roomy; tee ot from there

don't take the oil pressure from the head

Easier for the sender hookup.
Better oil pressure to the turbo from the block. (use a restrictor)

the pic was gone.. so just tap into the oil filter sandwich for the temp. and the pressure, and i should be fine? thats what it sounds like the thing in your post jon..

That's what I bought it for.

The head pressure is not enough, and getting a fitting to look good in the head was a pain.
The adapter has 2 plugs for you to use.

Get it. You love it.

i have one.. not greddy, but its a nice lookin one.. i was gonna just use it for my oil temp gauge.. cuz i thought it would be easy to replace stock sending unit, but it wasnt lol.. so now ill just hookem both to the sandwhich plate.

Oil temp gauge? What do you need that for?

check the temp of the oil? lol i duno, thought it might be good idea.. and see if i should get oil cooler.. had to fill my third pod somehow.. lol
