Default Which Standalone ECU is the best?

I needed a new ECU for my tib(2001 Tiburon). Current mods and coming are:

-t3/t4
-External Wastegate
-8.0:1 Cast pistons
-Pauter Rods (soon to buy)
-550cc injectors
-RX-7 Fuel pump
-Blitz Boost controller
-Apex-i AFC
-Stage 4 clutch
-Lightened flywheel
-3inch downpipe

I am soon to be in the market for a standalone engine management system. Considering price, performance, ease of tuning, and reliability. Which system is the best?

I plan on running 15psi (maybe more if I can).

I have heard of the Haltec, Link, SDS EFI, and the Motec. Is there any others I have not heard of? What are your opinions on the one listed. My budget only allows me for 1300.

With your budget being in the $1300 USD area, your best option is a Haltech E6K. However, that would ONLY include the computer and associated parts; which means install and tuning is up to you.

well if you got your heart set on a standalone then i guess red said it best.

but if you're willing to settle for a piggyback that'll do everything you need for your turbo project then have u checked out the SMT-5? This module is a piggy back that actually comes with a harness for our cars. So no cutting into the ecu like other piggy back systems. and its dirt CHEAP!!!! well, when compared to standalone systems it is. wink
I'm ordering mine this week for my turbo project. email me if you're interested and i'll give ya more details and where and how to get it. I have the software that controls the SMT-5 module on my computer and it works just like a Hondata module for hondas.

The Beta loves boost.
A boosted Beta is an entirely different animal.

Oh, I forgot.

For stand alones I would recommend the Haltech and Motec. In terms of piggybacks... someone needs to show me one that works well with a MAF bolt on turbo. It should be able with good tuning but I just haven't seen it done. Our experience doesn't include the newer, more sophiticated piggybacks out there now but once a shops here switch to a stand alone... no one goes back to a add on computer.

Do the Toyotas that you see have MAF's over there? Cause they do here, and I'm just wondering what steps some of them have taken if they were going piggy back.
