Hey guys, I ended up pulling my engine before I install my kit to replace some things and noticed one of my motor mounts was cracked. will it be ok to use solid mounts with a turbo setup?? Or should I just get some new OEM mounts to replace the old ones?

Try filled mounts, you might find you don't mind the increased NVH. Solid may, as said, be too much. If you don't mind a bit of mushiness and you have clearance when the engine rocks, feel free to use OEM replacements.

I have solid mounts for 3 of 4, the pulley side of the engine is still OEM...too much for a DD vehicle, there are times when I don't even really enjoy being in my own car.
I made solid stainless steel inserts for my front and rear engine mounts. I had to re-inforce the front subframe with 1/4" angle iron as it was cracking due to the excessive stress from the engine output and solid mounts.
Wheel hop is a thing of the past however...
Go solid IMO.

I think it's a must do to the car as soon as you get it. The stock motormounts are designed for the nonturbo versions of our cars and ther cant handle the power/torque from the turbo. For the MS3 it's the very first thing that people tell you to upgrade before you do ANYTHING else to your car. Right meow I have a 88a RMM and it makes a HUGE difference.
