to rebuild or to not rebuild
welp the turbo is seized
guess the $30 rebuild kit didnt work to well.....
oh well
so do i:
1. take it downtown and have it rebuilt(quoted $400 minimum)
2. buy another used turbo (ebay $300)
3. buy a new CHRA and put it together myself (~$400 but requires me to take the damn thing apart again-not fun)
decisions decisions

Well my new CHRA was $700 after balance and shipping so consider yourself lucky. If you enjoy the car you will rebuild it, money is only a small part of the project considering the amount of hours spent turning wrenches and tracking down dropped tools in hard to reach places.
I know what I would do.

oh something is gonna go into this car, ive spent more money on a clutch than i eventually will for the turbo....just gotta decide what route
i called the local rebuilder back and talked to them some more, they convinced me to bring it down so they can check it out
they will take it apart and look at the shaft(giggidy) and see if its even worth doing anything to PLUS they will inspect it FOR FREE1!!
i drove it down there and come to find out, ive been callin my turbo a HE351 this entire time and its not lol
its a HY35W
