Default RD2 header to RD1

Sorry this may be a dumb question but will an aftermarket header off an RD2 fit an RD1?

I believe this has been asked before, and the answer is yes.

I think that both rd1 and rd2 have two O2 bungs for the exhaust, but where they differ is in the meeting of the 2nd cat and the pipe there after. rd1 has a 2 bolt flange and rd2 has a 3 bolt flange, so I think the headers will fit fine.

I however don't have an RD1, so I could be wrong. I am going on a hazy memory and very little sleep...smile.gif

they'l definitely fit. I'm just not sure if being a 1.8L or a 2.0L will change anything.

It will work...any little problems should be easily handled by a decent muffler shop
