What is it like for you? The more power I get the more I want (which is something I think is pretty common when modding a car). Ive seen alot of cars dyno'ed at 350+ hp. So what are the people with 350+ doing? Why have that much power? Where do you draw the line? Because I honestly think that my car is 95% faster than most of the local rice boy cars on the road here, as it stands now with the turbo. There are tons of people who go with a bigger turbo for bigger power numbers. My question is why have a turbo like that as a DD?

People who have the 350+ how do you drive?
What's your driving style like on the streets?
What do you do with all that power?
Do you go WOT at 2:00 am when no ones on the road and how fast do you go?

Since I first started modding my car I have said I want a bigger turbo and now I am curious what people are doing with such big turbos. Because to me anything bigger than the current turbo is where you start getting in the range of problems or A LOT more money to compensate for all the extra power. My car is the fastest car I have really ever driven, so i do not know what these high whp cars are like. Mine point of this thread is to get feedback from people who have these cars. Thanks for the help.

Not that many people on this board are running 350+hp. Especially in their Hyundais.

I've owned 2 350+hp daily drivers, a 475hp 4x4 78 K5 Blazer and my 98 Firebird Formula LS1. Firebird I would put at just over 350hp based on comparing it to stock LS1 cars I've driven but it's an estimate.

Both were really fun. Blazer wasn't too bad as a daily except for the gas mileage. 5500lbs dampened a fair amount of those 475hp, as did having 2.73 gears. I was 17 though and couldn't even afford 2 gear sets. The Firebird is also fun, much faster than the Blazer. It's somewhat of a handfull when you push it though, and it takes about a second to go from zero to speeding.

In the end, I prefer to have the Accent for a daily. For me anyways, it's way more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. I've also discovered autocross and since then I'm way more addicted to lateral G's than acceleration G's.

 

My WS6 was over 350. I didn't have to get on it very often. The sight and sound of the thing usually got people out of the way. Borla, FTW!!

My Mustang's at 285 right now, but should be almost 500 within the year. Some people have accused me of compensating for a small "package", but that's not it. I think it's more a reaction to being a nerd all through school. As an adult, I have an overwhelming need to be seen as a bad-ass. Probably why I drive fast cars, race motorcycles, bungee jump, paraglide (no, not parasail), and would like to get a helicopter license as well. I also have a commercial license because I love driving huge trucks. Oh, and I operate heavy equipment for a living... huge stuff.

anywho, drove the car around today(no hood, front end, bumpers, fenders, etc) car pulls hard, but im already deciding its not enough lol

I'm only at 300,but turn the boost up and?????..I drive like an old lady around town,I let people rev on me and pass me at crazy speeds..I got nothin to proove to no one...But I want more hp because I have the lowest hp #'s of all my buddys when we go cruising..A 675 hp cavy,400 hp sunfire,500hp stang,500 hp teg, etc etc....
