A lot of people have compared the TOGA pumps to stock on other vehicles, and they have found that there's not much, if any, difference than stock other than a little porting of the passages. That is something you can do yourself. The Honda boys laugh at people who waste money on TOGA's and do the porting and shim job theirselves.

Ericy, how do you know the internals are upgraded? Most of TOGA's pumps are ported and shimmed stockers.

Here's a DIY for a D series motor as an example of what you can do:
http://www.theoldone.com/articles/d_series..._building_tips/
It also has several other worthy tips.

So you can spend $70 on a brand new stock pump and do the work yourself. Or spend $170 on a TOGA pump.

If you do end up buying a TOGA pump, do please show us the difference if you can find it. wink1.gif

When I spoke with Toga last year, they told me" the stock casing is rechannelled around the "made of stronger metal than stock"gears!?" as we proceeded to talk about making its weakest channel(the frame channel around the gear where mine split) weaker, he tells me all of the 500 hp+ beta I's that use this pump have no probs, therefore,if you have pump issues at 300hp,then you have other issues so I will not sell you a pump!,Goodday!click...........Thats all I know about Toga lol!...

40,000 km of boost and still good here.

what you need to do is use the oil pump off of a beta II with VVT that is what we use here and i have yet to hear of a pump failing here..

I upgraded to a Toga after noticing a big pressure drop with the stock pump using my oil cooler. Toga pump fixed the problem...

I know Ebay isn't a reliable source of information, but the sellers are selling the same pump for all 96-08 Betas. That means there is no difference. Can anyone provide some proof that the newer pumps have an increase in flow or pressure? Any official Hyundai literature out there?

if you want a beta2 pump ask for a 2003 tiburon 4 cylinders
if you want a beta 2 with CVVT pump ask a for a 2005 tiburon 4 cylinders

supposely that the beta2 with cvvt has more volume, but i never was able to comfirm that

one thing for sure, beta1 and beta2 pumps use the same gear thickness, wich means same volume
