^ I thought that too redz.,to the naked eye,it looks unharmed,un worn?, visually checked again tonight, maybe I should get the specs and a good measuring tool and check?,but I really dont think its worn.
Might be the best idea. One braking is one thing, but two? Brand new?
I'd check everything you can before wasting the money on a bigger badder pump, if you have an issue, than it could break that too.

^^ agreed,I have a mechanic friend coming over this weekend with some measuring gear...i have been aasking alot of questions lately., If the crank was slightly warped ,it could vibrare it to pieces!?,but you would feel something like that shake the whole car?! ,the first time it went,,the bearing bolts were not properly installed, and came out!, and pump was probably 80 thousand kms. I checked the main bolts again(the idiot at the shop installed them) and of course they are starting to back off again!? ,not much, maybe a quarter turn from theur markings,so I figured I'd check the main bearings,so far none are damaged, even handed it around for second opinions lol,so I think I'm good there, but I now need a head gasket!, little oil on the back of the block dammit!, I have searched garys posts and see that he had to re tighten the heads bolts before also!?.... The guys at hyundai tell me the oilpumps are not fully broken in untill 10000 kms!, I say thats bull crap!, plus I have changed to royal purple syncetic about 3000 kms ago which probably dindnt help? .I''l retighten and reassemble, and see what happens next week.

I use stock oil pumps all the time and never hada problem
even in the 8500+ rpm we did...
but i do put about 3-4 hours of work in them each time (deburring,cleaning,polishing...)
btw, adding a shim under the releif spring will only raise oil pressure, not volume
in your case, were you using the oem gasket between the block and oil pump?were you using the 2 dowels ?

You are contradicting yourself, after you do hours of modding to it,it is not stock anymore!lol
