New intercooler! Now should I wrap the IC pipes?
What do you experts think about wrapping the IC pipes with heat wrap? I just got a new Mishimoto intercooler and piping. I'm having a dispute with myself to either leave the pipes exposed or wrap them. Need help deciding so :help: me please! :P

Step 1. Identify the purpose of heat wraps.
Step 2. Identify the purpose of an intercooler and the associated pipes. Step 3. Apply common sense.

The hot side pipe I would think you want exposed to shed heat. The cold side you might want to wrap to insulate from the engine and radiator heat. The most underhood heat on a stock turbo setup comes from the AC.

I would think the ic pipes are typically mostly exposed to outside air rushing in on the Genesis Coupe. I wouldn't see an issue with wrapping the cold side as much as the hot side but it isn't running through the engine bay so I wouldn't waste the time
