Default map with smt6

Can you use a 3 bar map sensor as deflection on the smt6 instead of the tps to get a better tune according to boost instead of tps voltage? My biggest fear is the load increasing going up a hill but the throttle position staying the same.

Yup, sorry haven't been on here in a while, but yeah. I'd in fact recommend doing it that way with the SMT6. I was thinking about doing a group buy on the awesome SMT8 which removes any limitations you might have with the 6.

So just run map sensor wire to the deflection on the smt6?

Yup! You'll have to recalibrate the TPS values in the SMT software and probably have to retune everything but it should work well!

Wonder if anyone has the calibration already?

Its not that hard. The goal is to make sure you have full SMT6 map coverage using the min and max MAP voltage your currently seeing. Find the min and max voltage your seeing and put those in the min and max TPS calibration values in the software. Then make sure you are able to hit most of the fuel map from left to right in the software and start tuning!
