Cruising around on Ebay I found this Turbo Manifold. What do you think? I prefer an external waste gate set up but this seems like a cheap option for somebody on a budget. It looks cracked though.

dddddude55 posted this manifold before... i beleive its a stock exhaust with a turbo flange welded on there

UrS0NvS 01-23-2009 08:30 PM

not worth it. the cracks wouldnt be hard to fix, weld wise. but then you would have to have the flange refaced which would probably cot more than you want to go.

So I emailed this guy asking him about the cracks over the bolt holes and he said they are supposed to be there. Is that true? I don't think my headers have them...

UrS0NvS 01-24-2009 01:09 PM

if they would have been puposely put there, they would have been cast and been striaght lines, not jiggly, crcaked lines. that guy is a tool.

stock manifold have slots cutted into the head flange right where the bolts are (for expansion)

SOCKS_old 01-24-2009 03:58 PM

yeah, those 'slots' are in there stock, like deniss said.

theres no actual 'cracks' that i can see in that pic.

that manifold looks like it would sit to low for one. also, the stock manifolds were recalled for cracking, and no telling if this was done before or after the problem was fixed.

o, and if your on a budget, that is THAT tight, dont boost. trust me.
