how to keep the heat down??
 
hey fellas, how do you guys keep the heat down under the hood?? I have my down pipe wrapped and I have a turbo blanket but it seems really, really hot in my engine compartment. my car runs cool even cruising but is their away to eliminate anymore heat under there? thanks

If you have any rubber seals on the hood remove them. Your factory radiator fan turn on temps are usually in the +200F range. A manual controller using the factory wiring works great if you set it just above the t-stat opening setting.. Anytime the AC is on it's dumping all that heat in front and then trhough the radiator into the engine compartment.

Do you still have your factory splash guards in place? They're extremely important for engine bay aerodynamics.



You might try removing the insulator mat and raisinthe rear of the hood with spacers.
