High compression pistons

I need some help guys. I am leaving my car n/a because i cant really afford turbo-lag due to autocrossing. I was wondering what the max compression ratio you would consider running on 94 octane would be. I am shooting for 14:1 if at all possible with proper tunning. I am just looking for more opinions because stock we are running 10.3:1 on 87 octane which led me to figure 14:1 could be done on 94.

I dont see more than 12.5:1 on 93 w/ minimal timing.. 14:1 you need race gas..

Yeah, you might scrounge out 13:1 if you mess with timing and A/F a lot... I agree with the previous post that 12.5:1 is pushing the envelope.

14:1 i highly doubt will clear the chamber safely. you might be able to work out a 13:1 though. you MAY be able to run 93 octane from that.

on a side note, there are plenty of turbos out there that offer basically no lag at all and you'll potentially achieve a much higher hp rating or another choice would be supercharging it.

if your trying to go cheap high comp pistons and a good set of cams will work fine for your needs and it'll sound bad ass. be aware that your car will be stupid loud though.
