I'm guessing faith probably has the most expensive car for saying that. All these Turbos has same prices I just need some input to which one is more efficient. I already spent 15k just this year alone with this car I don't see how you could say I'm going the cheapest route lol |
How is the rest of the engine set up, and what's the application you are going for? You pick the turbo according to the engine characteristics and power delivery you want to achieve, the other way around is a good way to waste a ton of money and push sh*t uphill for twice the amount of time. Everybody wants to make a ton of power, that's certain but more importantly, how do you want the car to drive?

I would like to get atleast 300+ HP in the future after I built my engine but for now I want to get atleast around 250HP I will be setting it up at 9 PSI, I want the car to do good on the 1/4 Mile. I currently have an ebay turbo that I am now replacing it is a T3/T4 57 trim with 50AR compressor housing and 63AR turbine housing I'm happy with how it performed before it broke, I dont have any complaints with the performance but sooner spool would have been great so that's why I'm going with .48AR turbine housing so the only differences with these 3 Garrett Turbos that I'm comparing are the compressor housing and the trim. The car is not my daily driver but I will be driving it more often on the summer so I still dont want it to be a full quarter mile car. |
T3 60trim, pretty much a super 60, inducer is a little smaller.
I'm happy with it, haven't been able to go as far as i want power wise due to financial issues. It's nice cause its mostly mid range so i don't have to wait for a highway to run a few gears. Seems like the hype lately has been the evo set up with a 16g or 20g. Have been thinking of going that route, except once again, money issues |
contact tanc, he was more than helpful with me trying to find out what turbo to use.
Learn how to read a compressor map -check out a thread called "turbo sizing" but in a nutshell 20g would be great for what your talking about. |
Use #1
T3/TO4E 57 Trim Compressor Housing: 60AR Turbine Housing: 48AR |
