the bolts you get from the hardware store are in fact a stronger bolt, just so you all know, its because they are a higher tensile strength.

since someone reopened this thread.,maybe someone else can use this info I got from ARP the other day
Beta I torque specs
Part #AM 4.500-1LB (M10x1.25 Studs) =
Arp lube =60lbs
Ultratorque(ARP)=60lbs
30 weight oil(ie10w/30)=70 lbs
Part #AU 7.250-1LB (M12x1.25 Studs) =
Arp lube=80lbs
Ultratorque(ARP)=90lbs
30 weight oil(ie 10w30)=120lbs
The M12 should be tightened in 3 steps, ie : 90lbs =30/30/30 lbs,120lbs =40/40/40 lbs
If using 30 weight oil for either stud, It should be torqued and loosened and torqued again at least 3-4 times, to reduce the friction and be properly torqued., It is recommended by ARP to use theyre new ultratorque lube as it eliminates retorquing.
