I recently bought a Saab 9-3 Aero and want to put a BOV on it. However, the guy i talked to said that you can't vent a maf car to the atmosphere. I don't remember how my old shop installed it on the tibby.

1. Is this true?
2. If I have to go with a recirculation kit, how do i go about the install?

thanks guys.

i'v never looked closely at a saab turbo setup, but as far as i've read on this site you need to recirculate the BOV if it is after the MAF sensor, and route it back to before the turbo but after the maf sensor.

MAF---Recirulate in----turbo---intercooler---bov(recirculate out)---throttle body

if the maf is in the charge piping (after the turbo) then you could just put a bov on before it and vent to atmosphere, at least thats what i've come to understand from the topics on this site, so i could be wrong
