Default Best way to clean a turbo?

Hey ya'll...whats the best way to clean a turbo? I have some dirt and grime all on the outside on the housing and i want to clean it all off. I heard brake cleaner can do the trick but want to make sure first. Im most likely gonna spray what ever is recommended on a rag first and then clean it that way because I dont want to get anything inside or hit a bearing. smile.gif

brake cleaner will be fine.
Also, the chance of you wrecking a bearing (especially a journal bearing) is very slim as long as you don't submerge the turbo in brake cleaner!

Remove the intake and exhaust housings first. Then clean them seperately from the center.
