Default Alpine turbo ?'s and bang fro the $

Dear all,
OK, I have a 2000 Tiburon 2.0L with a bone stock engine. After reading the other posts it's obvious that the apline developement is the way to go. I'm a bit confused about the best way to do it. After purchaseing the turbo and the installation, I figure I want to spend about $1000 more, what is the best way to go for the buck. im hearin alot about different blow-off valves and sensors, and 440cc injectors, etc. what do i have to buy to supplement the kit and what should i buy to make everything run the smoothest. i wanna go fast but this car is a daily driver, so i want to do everything so it lasts but i still want to go fast. i appreciate all help in these questions, and i hope you guys don't get frustrated answering the same questions for us newbies week after week.

The Alpine turbo + $1000 will only get you the kit as supplied by them installed. No full larger exhaust, no larger injectors, no BOV, etc..etc..etc..

In fact, some of the install prices have been quoted at $2000.

If you leave the alpine kit alone, and do not turn up the boost, you will only need a blow off valve. You can upgrade the exhaust later, and change things later.

If you want a "balls to the walls" tibby right off the bat, you will need more than $1000 my friend.

I would suggest that you spend money on putting that power to the ground. Suspension parts or driveline componets like a performance clutch.

I'm currently runnin 9psi of boost, with the head spacer, and ran a best of 15.3 @ 3000 feet, in 85 Degree temps, in a minor sand storm, stock suspension on heavy 17" wheels.

On October 6th we are heading to Carlsbad raceway, which is at sea level and rarely hotter than 80 degrees, and rarely windy/sandy. So I will have "better" more accurate numbers then.

My picks,

1)High pressure high flow gas pump(in my case the original did not pump enough fuel, specially at higher than 10 psi)
2)Performance clutch. Mine was destroyed with only 5000Kms, when changing you might consider reducing the weight of your flywheel or get a new lightweight flywheel(do not forget to balance)
3)Increase the size of inyector and fuel pressure(with new fuel pump and the kits regulator) if does not run smoothly with the original one (specially if running higher boosts, also a lambda meter would be great to accomplish and keep the right A/F mix)
4)Boost control to be able to go to 15psi when needed. The turbo in the kit will not last if used at this boost but OK for every now and then (you know what I mean)
5)Tube insulation to keep the hot area hot and the cool area cool.
6)Intake out of the engine room
7)Larger intercooler to reduce pressure drop and temp at intake.
That ought to keep you busy for a while!!!
