that manifold is cast iron and it is better for everyday driving compared to steel aluminum.
wow... it even gives you enough room for the stock fans, so you don't have to get the slim fans
good luck!!! ket us know how it runs smile.gif

That manifold looks all silver now... but give it a run or three and all that silver will come off and your bay will look like you have red sprinkles everywhere! heh Thats what made me that maddest about when I had an Alpine. Im still trying to get all the flakes out... sad.gif
But hey, good luck with it mang! I sincerely hope yours turns out better than mine experience with it. fing02.gif

Hob, I bought this kit used. I think the red shat already came offf. I can see spots where it looks like there is still some. I wonder what that's about? I remember your posts about that.
I have the heat shield painted black. hopefully the paint holds up to the heat.
Mounted the downpipe, and oil return today.
I hope mine turns out better than yours to Hob. But with my luck, my engine will blow the first time I start it.

looks perdy good. great way to start out.. i wish i woulda started with a simple kit instead of opening up the can of many worms like i did.. but i would have to say the manifold i have seems very fvcking strong.. but nothing compared to that log of a cast manifold. lol.. heat shield should hold up find since its not going to be direct to all the heat.
i would def. say once u get it running, youl want to upgrade. i recommend staying with the DSM turbos tho.. like upgrade to a 16g, and some better IC configurations, etc.
