Does running your A/C effect boosting at all? I find that when I turn mine on my boost gauge will decrease in vacuum by maybe .01 or .02. Is this normal? Can anyone provide some background information on whether they effect each other or not?

 

I know in my car, when you turn on the AC, the revs go up. If it does on yours it creating more exhaust and making your turbo spin faster, i believe.

 

AC compressors create more load on the engine throughout the RPM range. It can push you into a different load zone under boost so you have to make sure you tune for it.. wink.gif

Don't worry fine. Vac will decrease because of a tad high load, but it won't effect your top end in boost. Boosting plus AC on is silly anyways tongue.gif
