Sorry Redz you lost me lmao.gif
Is the Beta 2 cam same specs as the 1.8L and XD cam?
Im hearing the 1.8L cam has less valve overlap by 2 defress and the XD cam adding 1 degree..
I wonder if the beta 2 cam is the same as the XD
Need the best cam for less OVERLAP
Thanks

how did I lose you?

1. the exhaust cam should be the same as ours.

2. I believe the intake cam is the "GT" cam.

that's it.

The 1.8L cam isn't the same as the GT cam.

Thanks Redz!
Just confused me on the exhaust part because i just wanted info on the intake specs.... lmao.gif fing02.gif
I just might go with the 1.8L cam becuase it reduces overlap by 2 degrees
I tried to call Hyundai to can give me the EXACT specs on a 2003 GT Intake cam but NO LUCK....
Just curious if overlap reduces with the BETA 2 GT intake cam installed?

Thanks again REDZ!

Does doing that 1.8 intake cam mod really work? Someone told me that it wears something out on our engine faster, forgot who said it, but im curious if its true.

Do a search man. wink1.gif There's info about it all over this site, it's a pretty popular mod. I dont think I've ever read anything about it reducing engine life though, at least as far as I can remember.

I did a bit of research on NEWTIB forum and they claim the beta 2 cam has the same lift as the 1.8L cam but increase overlap which is not good for turbo
the beta 2 cam has same duration but i still want info on the 2007 intake cam which has a 250 duration but not sure how it will work in the RD
Other than that looks like the best OEM cam would be the 1.8L in the RD Tib!!
