do you think it can fit a X3 accent with some mod?

 

I see this is a really old thread, but has anyone done this recently? I have two Eclipse shifter boxes, one 91-94 and the later one. It looks like the earlier one will fit with minimal modifications. I'll probably try this in the next few weeks but wanted to see if there are any recent mods like this with some pics of what was modified. There are short shifter kits for these, but the one I got was a piece of junk. I'd need to make a bushing for the shift lever to fit on the pin as there is so much clearance.

Any one know if the shifter set ups are the same in j2s and rds?

 

j2 and rd are the same
