is it supposed to be hard to shift (N-1 and 1-2) into gears?

Default is it supposed to be hard to shift (N-1 and 1-2) into gears?

for some reason, it's really hard for me to change into gears. i'm pretty sure my transmission fluid is fine, but i can't just throw it in with ease and let it accept the gear and i actually have to use a little bit of force? how can i tell if there's something wrong with my gearbox/transmission and it's not just in my head that it's really hard to change gears? (it's a really short and easy throw from 2-3 and 3-4 though. N-1 and 1-2 is by far the most difficult)

When was the last time you had your tranny oil changed? Get some Redline MT-90 and see if it gets better.

I have a simular problem but it n-1 and n-r that i have trouble getting into gear. I found that one of the bushings at the end of the shift cable has worn into an oval shape, im sure this is my problem, may be yours as well.

It sounds like an issue with the linkage to me. If that's all tight and adjusted properly then some MT-90 should help.

I had the same problem.

I used Amsoil MTG GL-4 and Redline MT-90. Not only did they cure my problem, it made my shifts smoother in all gears. It's so smooth that you can change gears using your pinky.
