Those are nearly the same RPM's as my 2000 Elantra, but much lower than the other 5-Speed tibbies. Strange. Have you had any tranny work done? Every replace your gauge faces/needles?

dunno I also thought it was strange, and considered the mph numbers on the guage might be off, so I did it again and tried to watch where the needle hit the kph range on the outside. 60 mph was roughly around 96 - 98 kph; actually, 60 mph = 96.558 kph
maybe there's a problem
with the calibration somewhere along the line, and I'm not really going as fast as I think am. that could explain why I haven't had a speeding ticket (and I thought it was the radar detector!)
