i would not worry about the power decrease to the wheels for i am not the type to be interested in cruising in stright highway lines. I am the type that loves to hug and feel the curves.
Then you would not want a Santa Fe 4WD conversion. Read up on the differences between 4WD and AWD. For driving in curves, FWD works fine, unless you want to "drift".

I too have the magazine in question. They called it an AWD conversion, but it is in fact a 4WD conversion.
I'm really starting to get disgusted with tuner magazines and their inaccurate reporting.

i checked the hyundai websites and they only state the 2wd and 4wd but there are other companies that are listing wrong info ( i guess)

No, not really. From what I've found, their info is based of press releases provided my the manufacturer. www.kbb.com is the same. Heck most magazines are the same. Very few "review" companies list the "real" weight of the car, the "true" output of the engine, etc.

Back on topic track if there are no AWD kits available what would you suggest for ultimate cornering of a FF like the 2003 tiburon. (Quaife Limited slip, SR coilover, struts, wider wheels ext ext ext)
