Default Quick FlyWheel Ques....?

With a 250-300Hp turbo setup on a 2.0, would a lightweight racing flywheel to more harm than good or should I leave the stock one?

No, the revs dont fall much even on a lighten flywheel.

Lighten flwyheels do not hurt anything.

Lighten crank pulleys are bad. cause that is were the damper is.

If you want a sporty feel. You want a lighten flywheel.

In theory, the ligher weight flywheel will cause the revs to drop "faster" than with a heavier one. However, the light weight flywheel will also allow the engine to REV easier, getting you into boost quicker. It's a trade off.

If you shift slowly, the RPMS will drop between shifts not only causing you to loose boost, but also making your shifts rather difficult. If you shift fairly quickly, the RPMS's don't have time to drop, and you won't loose boost either.

It all depends on your personal choice/preference. You have to decide if it is right for you.

and also, your probably going to be shifting at 6k or so, and you'd have to drop 2.5-3k to loose boost, and i don't think ANYONE is that bad at shifting. You can safely drop a 1k and then when your in the next gear you should be 3k+ still. Once you own one you'll get used to it, i was driving my buddies RSX turbo this last weekend, and it was fuuuuuuuun.

I recently installed the Fidanza unit in my '97 tib and i must say for n/a OR turbo it's a must have. If anyone is thinking your engine is going to rev up and drop rev's like a Yamaha YZF600R then you play too much Granturismo 3. Yes the revs DO fall faster however it's not like you think...very managable. You can still drive in the city (casual) and not have problems with it and like RANDOM said, accel. is much much improved allowing for any turbocharged car to reach boost faster.

If you ask me, it's not a big deal but a great mod!!
