Default Quaife VS Kaaz LSD

I was wondering why everyone prefers the Quaife to the Kaaz when they are both LSD's. What is the difference of the two and why do we have to reverse something in the Quaife?

The reason something has to be "reversed" in the Quaife is that they do not make a part for our car at this point in time. The unit for one of the mitsu eclipses will work, but it requires that they flip (reverse) the pinion gears. If we can get a large enough first order, they will carry a "Hyundai Tiburon/Elantra" part.

The Kaaz is basically a "clutch" LSD. As such, it is subject to wear, just like a clutch would. It would have to be rebuilt as often as 50,000 miles or it might last as long as 150,000 miles, depending on how hard you "work" the clutch packs within the LSD.

The Quaife is a "gear" LSD. It normally comes with a lifetime guarantee. The engagment of the gears is a more solid connection compared to the clutched LSD. Less HP is lost compared to the clutch plates slipping, and, in theory, the gear LSD will outlast/out life your clutch, and should last for the life of the tranny, if not longer.
