Installing a new clutch soon and I’m thinking about painting the transmission gloss black while its out. Will I need to use high heat engine primer and paint or will regular paint be sufficient? Not sure how hot trannys get but didn’t think they got as hot as the engine.

 

they dont get as hot as the engine but they do tend to build up a bit of heat. also heat from the engine right next to it. i'd go for the high heat paint, theres very little reason not to
